A Learning Adventure to Italy

For the Easter break we had a few days off and decided to venture south to Italy, the mysterious haven of food, wine, and culture. We were hoping to use some of the new language we have been studying, have a little adventure, see some sun, and get to the coast too, so we picked a city called Piambino. We found a cute little campground/hostel not far from the beach, on the internet, with "cute little bungalow's" and off we went. What we found was not, at all, what we had expected.

We spent the first night in Como, which was very nice and beautiful.
Here are a few pics.

The next day we jumped on a few trains and slowly made our way to Piambino.
The nightmare began with the train "system," or lack there of. Every train of the 8 we took were late, causing us to miss our next train, and have to talk to the incredibly nice, helpful, and honest ticket agents. (they were really some of the meanest, unhelpful, and dishonest people I have EVER come in contact with. Though we did find 3 very nice and helpful people. Without them we never would have made it.)

Dazed and Confused traveler

This is one of the the "cute" little bungalows we stayed in.

Ahh, Park Albatross.

Getting to the beach was amazing. You had to walk through this forest a little ways and then the beach appears.

It was sad that we went all of that way in search of sunshine and warm weather, but did not find either. Adventure we got.
