A Learning Adventure to Italy
For the Easter break we had a few days off and decided to venture south to Italy, the mysterious haven of food, wine, and culture. We were hoping to use some of the new language we have been studying, have a little adventure, see some sun, and get to the coast too, so we picked a city called Piambino. We found a cute little campground/hostel not far from the beach, on the internet, with "cute little bungalow's" and off we went. What we found was not, at all, what we had expected.
We spent the first night in Como, which was very nice and beautiful.
Here are a few pics.

The next day we jumped on a few trains and slowly made our way to Piambino. The nightmare began with the train "system," or lack there of. Every train of the 8 we took were late, causing us to miss our next train, and have to talk to the incredibly nice, helpful, and honest ticket agents. (they were really some of the meanest, unhelpful, and dishonest people I have EVER come in contact with. Though we did find 3 very nice and helpful people. Without them we never would have made it.)

This is one of the the "cute" little bungalows we stayed in.
Ahh, Park Albatross.
Getting to the beach was amazing. You had to walk through this forest a little ways and then the beach appears.
It was sad that we went all of that way in search of sunshine and warm weather, but did not find either. Adventure we got.

The Great Swiss Incredible Inedible Easter Egg Hunt
We all know that the BEST part of Easter is the Easter Egg hunt. Well, this year we are missing the Holiday festivities in America, but still wanted to have an Easter Egg Hunt. So, Sarah and I have put together a little game we like to call
"The Great Swiss Incredible Inedible Easter Egg Hunt"
Here is how it works. Click on each of the pictures and they will pop up much bigger in a new window. Then you can look around for the eggs. There is only one egg in each picture. Good luck! We will post the answers after Easter.

Game 4
AC Malcantone vs Emmen
After our loss last week, our coach was fired and we now have a new, incredible, coach. He won the respect of our team in the first five minutes of the first practice with him...amazing. After only 3 practices we are a completely new team. Now we ARE a team. I do not know what we were before. Yesterday we pulled out our first win of the season. Emmen is not a very good team, but we played well and scored two goals in the last 8 minutes of the game to win 2-0.
I subbed into the game with 35 min left in the second half and played better than I have since I have been here. We are playing yet another new system, but this time we are playing the system very very well. It is a flat-back 4 defense, then two central defensive midfielders, then three offensive midfielders, and one forward. I will try to do some explanation in the next few days. It worked well for us yesterday and we have another game Wednesday against a very good team. We will see how it works against a better team.

Badass
On Sunday we were walking to the game, and on the way Sarah tripped and cut a huge gash just under her knee. It was deep, but would probably heal on its own and leave a scar. Well this morning she gave herself stiches...yea.

Game 3 - My first game
AC Malcantone vs AC Lugano
It was our third game of the season and my first ever. My papers arrived last Thursday making me eligible to play in the game yesterday. I started and played the whole game. We went up 1-0 in the middle of the first half on a penalty kick. Our strategy was very defensive. We played a 3-6-1 (3 players in defense, 6 in the midfield, and one forward). It was a new system and I had a little trouble in the first half, but at halftime I talked with the coach for a while and played much better in the second half. Our team collapsed halfway through the second half. We gave up two goals in 15 min and lost 2-1.
